Insulting and unprofessional
January 18, 2017Background: I am a recently retired military officer and physician. I have extensive experience in dealing with others in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner, as this was essential in my military and medical careers. I have never in my life experienced such disrespect, ignorance, and unprofessionalism as I have with Mohawk Studios, LLC. I was approved for one of their apartment homes based upon income and qualifications. Yesterday early afternoon, I was sent a copy of the lease ...agreement, and I was asked to sign and return to Mohawk Studios by 5pm. Given that paying attention to detail is part of my job, I went over the lease agreement carefully, and I asked an attorney colleague to peruse the document as well. After finding a few sections that didn't add up, I proposed a few questions to Mohawk Studios, LLC. for clarification. Upon seeing that I was not going to blindly sign their lease agreement without asking questions, they dropped me as a prospective tenant and move forward with another individual... this was AFTER I already paid the security deposit. The purpose of this review is to highlight the dishonesty, unprofessionalism, and likely, profiteering qualities of this company. Potential tenants need to read this company's lease agreement CAREFULLY, as the lease is significantly biased toward the landlord. Best of luck to you!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
