Obnoxious landlord, no upkeep of common areas and the apartments
March 14, 2018Landlord is obnoxious. One dirty and rusted washing machine and dryer from 1950 for the whole building. Rusty main water heater that is about to burst. Violations of building codes. Dirty common areas, No upkeep of apartments and or building. Broken mail boxes. Roaches. Lots and lots of them. Everywhere. And as of all the above is not enough, the landlord painted the building traffic cone orange.Review from Apartments.com
Filthy. Reaches, Rodents.
September 17, 2017This apartment building is a complete nightmare. Walking home at night was a nightmare taken out of a horror movie. Huge flying roaches everywhere. Rats eat our food and destroyed our furnitures and cloths. The landlord is very hard to get a hold of and when we did get a hold of him he was not responsive to our requests to make repairs of our falling apart apartment. He would come and knock on our door unannounced and acted rather strange. One minute he was our best friend, next he was nasty to ...us. Paying the insane rent amount and living under those conditions is unacceptable. Whenever he put an apartment for rent (which happened quiet often since once talents discover what it is like to live there- they move out- just like we did) The landlord remove the gate lock which allow strangers to walk in and wonder around. The laundry room is filthy and a health hazardPitching tent on the beach you will enjoy better living conditions. Run.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
old and not maintained, rent goes up every year and landlordwill not sign a new lease
July 23, 2015The landlord did not bother to clean up the place when we moved in. Since safety is our priority, we called the gas company to do an inspection as soon as we moved in. We then realized that the apartment was rented to us with a heater gas leak and the stove was a fire hazard. The stove was changed and the heater broke down shortly after. The landlord raise the rent every single year but dose 0 maintenance and disagree for us to paint the place (but we did anyway) in case of emergency it is ...impossible to get a hold of him, so when we had an emergancy it took him a week to return our call regardless of the urgency of the matter. As a result our bathroom cabinets rot. The sinks and the baths are both very old and where previously painted with a brash, they also have corrosion, regardless the landlord will not do anything. The front yard is infested with roaches and apart from one attempt to fix the problem we still need to jag above them when coming home late at night. The community laundry room is so filthy that we opt out and are now using the public neighborhood laundromat. My neighbors that has a garage realize the hard way that it dose not have the required safety feature and if you or your child is under the door when it closes you are out of luck since it has no motion sensors. one of the garage doors is almost always broken. The staircases are filthy and almost never cleaned. We planted many plants to try and make the community area nicer. The entry doors are slams and there is no system or any feature to make them close silently so if your neighbors has a party you will hear the door slamming over and over again at 3am. The next door building is full of students that have loud parties on a regular basis, also during the week. They trough beer cans and cigarets that land in our community area. Yet, the landlord still treats you like he is doing you a huge favor renting you this dirty dump. After living here for 10 years we are finally fed up and looking for a new place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
