A Steal in Franklin Village
July 28, 2015I live in a spacious one bedroom apartment in Frankling Village (also known as east hollywood, near Griffith) My apartment is fantastic- new appliances, hardwood floors, tons of storage in every room and a staircase shared only with one other apartment who happens to house one of my best friends. I also have my own parking space (a necessity in bustling Hollywood) and laundry on site. The management company has a very hands off operating style which suits me just fine because their responses are ...always prompt in the event that I do need something dealt with. The area is also fantasticly walkable. There are shops and restaurants in every direction, and I love that it's just a ten minute walk to the UCB and all of its wonderful neighboring restaurants and a twenty minute walk to the Hollywood Farmers Market on Sunday's. It's nearby the red line as well. Overall, for less than $1000 a month, this place is a steal. There are a few drawbacks- the area is noisy and so are the neighbors, I can certainly hear when one of the kids downstairs throws a tantrum, but I've never had a problem with anyone in the building about it. The other drawbacks are small things. There is only one washer and one dryer shared between all of the apartments, so when it comes to doing laundry, timing is everything. There also is not much of a view unless you like peeping on your neighbors. Overall I think the amount of space and the amazing area are worth it and then some.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
