My studio apt is subpar
September 8, 2015I live on the upper west of Manhattan in a studio apt . The neighborhood is great but the studio itself is run-down . The apt is in desperate need of a make-over . The walls need to be painted . The pipes in the building are old and noisey . It takes 10 minutes to run a hot shower . The landlord knows if I complain he can kick me out and have somebody pay more for the apt than what I presently pay . The super is incompetent and lives 10 blocks away so any repairs if any that are done takes ...weeks to accomplish , My Bathroom ceiling fell apart so I had a hole in my bathroom ceiling for 10 days while the super told me he was working in the situation . If the neighborhood wasn't so great I would probably move . But I hear a studio for 2 grand a month USA good deal in the heart of the city . I guess I should not complain lolRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
My apt is awful
August 9, 2015My studio apt on the westside of Manhattan is small . I guess the rent is reasonable for my neighborhood but that's where the good points end . The building itself is old and worn down .The Walls in my apt need to be replaced and repainted . the water pipes in my kitchen are old and rusty . The bathroom ceiling needs to be replaced . the landlord and super are apathetic to concerns about replacing anything in my apt knowing someone will pay more for less to live here . The neighborhood is great ...I guess why that's the only reason the rent is high in my opinion.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
