Very cozy and affordable
June 13, 2023Hi to all looking for an apartment. I’m sure everyone has a different experience, but I just moved in last month, and can happily say that I’ll be staying here as long as possible. The neighborhood is one of the biggest perks. It’s very bright and happy with a communal library and dog treats. You’re a walk away from bars, the lake, and Wriggley. I Haven’t experienced any bugs however I do keep my place extremely clean and I spray down border protection just as a habit of living in Florida. So far ...I’ve had no mold, but I’m sure that’s a product of many apartments and tenants poor habits as well. I thought I would hate the sound of the train, but it’s actually very nice background noise. I have not needed to reach the landlord yet, however the complex manager is very kind and always answers me when I call. She lives in the building, and has let me in multiple times as I sometimes forget my keys. I would highly recommend this apartment building as I think it gives off a clean old charm vibe. I’ve actually recommend this building to multiple people. I would also say that i ordered about 20 things off Amazon, and that I received everything.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Infested and Absolutely Horrible Management
May 17, 2020Avoid this property and owner at all costs. I have lived here for the past 2 years and tried to deal with the mice, cockroaches, mold, multiple packages stolen from the mail room, and lack of management for the cheap prices on rent. I would not recommend this to anyone unless you are willing to deal with the above. You are not able to contact the owner (no email, no phone number), and the on site "manager" will sometimes pick up the phone if you are lucky. Even if she does, she does not offer any ...help with the above problems. They do spray for cockroaches twice a month (by asking you to clear out your cabinets), but that has not kept them away. I have seen multiple mice in my apartment and the building. I was given traps to set up to fix this, but they continued to come back. I have had mold in various areas of my apartment (ceiling, cabinets, etc) that management took over a year to fix. After having multiple packages stolen from the indoor mail room, I was told by management that there was nothing they could do and all the cameras are fake. I could go on on and on about how horrible this apartment complex is, and I am writing this to hopefully prevent someone else from suffering too. These apartments are extremely cheap though, and if you are willing to deal with the above things (which i was for the last 2 years ) then you could survive happily in this apartment.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
