41-29 46th St Apartments

The location is probably the best in town. 46th between 43rd ave and skillman? It does not get better than that- it is literally a 3-5 minute walk to the elevated 7 train stop right on 46th and Queens boulevard. Then its a hop skip and jump to Grand Central for work or times square ( 20 minutes). Skillman is what you would consider a main road in a small city town, and has some cute stores and some established restaurants. Sunnyside has a very large Irish population, so Irish pubs are a plenty. The streets are tree lined and for the most part, it is a very sleep town considering I can see the Chrysler building from my corner. Back to my apartment..I have a lovely unit facing an inside courtyard. This equals peace and quiet. All winter long I keep my window open and there is no noise to wake me up- the fresh air is lovely and though there is a fire escape that as a single young lady does frighten me a bit, but like I said, Sunnyside is safe, and I am facing an inner courtyard on the 5th floor. My apartment is set up with a sitting area separate from the bed area, which is nice, so I can use my laptop on my loveseat as opposed to the bed. The room is basically a square with two windows at the end and the kitchen on that end. The kitchen area is indented into an area at the end of the apartment adjacent to the windows, and really does not take up too much wall wall space, which is nice, and has all the necessities, but the counter space is lacking and it is not the best kitchen for cooking. It is a great space for 1 person, and a starter apartment especially for someone who does not like to cook. There is a cute architectural doorway to the left of the doorway when you walk in, that has a foyer I would say, with a coat closet (that is a large enough to be the closet for the whole apartment), that leads in the a simple but nice bathroom with a window. I changed the shower head and we were in business. There is also a double door closet in the main room.
