Sun-drenched apartments with exposed brick
July 20, 2015Let's talk about the pro's of this building: With only 2 units per floor, it's quiet; the street-facing apartments have 3 walls of windows, and every unit has exposed brick. The apartments are VERY spacious, and much more sq footage for your money than most places in the neighborhood. You're one block from Tompkin's square, on a tree-lined block, and some windows overlook a community garden. I repeat: GARDEN VIEWS. Pretty great, right? Now the downside: The super is absent and lazy, even for ...New York standards, and it shows in the up-keep of the building: No trash system, terrible attention to common spaces, and maintenance requests take a long time. The flooring on units that haven't been updated is (literally) sheets of crudely painted plywood, and the kitchen flooring is linoleum. No ventilation in the bathroom leads to mold growth on the ceiling, regardless of how many dehumidifiers you put in. All in all, I recommend for the price and have thoroughly enjoyed my time in this space.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
