Apt is dirty, landlord is negligent, but location is great
January 29, 2017These apartments could be fantastic, but they aren't. The landlord is unresponsive, and the apartments are run-down and dirty. The towels and sheets have holes and stains, like the ones I cut up for cleaning rags in my house. Nobody has cleaned under the bed or in the corners for years. The thermostats have tremendous hysteresis, so you can only have heat on all the time or not on at all (one of the heaters doesn't work at all). The pots and pans in the kitchen were in such bad condition that I ...had to go buy some. The washer in the laundry room is ok, but the dryer is coin-operated, makes horrendous noise, appears to have been severely overheated or on fire in the past, and doesn't get the clothes very dry. The cleaning service is irregular and unpredictable. I do not understand why the landlord does not hang her head in shame for presenting the apartments to guests this way. If the dryer, linens, really old appliances, and thermostats were replaced, I think these apartments would be fine, and I could recommend them.
