    • NOT SAFE FOR MOTORCYLES

      October 18, 2024
Motorcycle damaged twice overnight. No help from property manager. Just insulted on top of the $1000 worth of damage. But managers will harass you over little things aka 7 texts in one day despite what you answer.

Nina the property manager was absolutely amazing with us as we have just moved from another country and made everything so much easier for us to work out. The apartments have an amazing amount of space and is very tidy. I highly recommend looking into Broadway village apartments!

    • Extremely satisfied aprtments in Columbia, MO

      June 1, 2021
Nearly 5 years ago, I found this apartment and I moved into Broadway Village Apartments. The apartments are spread across 70 acres of rolling wooded terrain, with ample green space left between the 18-unit buildings that comprise the development. Such great and cheerful apartment especially for family. Peaceful, Protectful and accessible apartment. I would strongly recommend, if your interest moves into Broadway village right away.

    • Extremely satisfied current renter.

      March 7, 2019
Full Disclaimer: I am currently a resident at BV Apts. I was not incentivized, nor have I received any benefits for writing this review. - The application process is FREE; that is because they're picky about who they accept. They have guidelines posted on the website: no undergrads, no unemployed adults, no people with crazy background checks... This strict screening process annoyed me at first, but quickly realized how much it’s contributing to building a very safe and healthy society in this ...
complex. - The population: Because of the screening, most people I come across are either young professionals, graduate students, or retired individuals. It's worth mentioning that every effort was made by the administrative office to get me the apartment of my choice (aka upper vs lower floor, front vs back-facing, surrounded by families vs calmer sections of the complex), which I really appreciate. - The maintenance: I had to call for maintenance twice so far for small touchups in my apartment. The first one was addressed in less than 30 minutes and the second in less than 24 hours (it was a weekend). Point being that there is a team of very responsive, polite and knowledgeable personnel who are always available if anything goes wrong. They also do timely routine maintenance such as spraying for bugs, changing batteries (smoke alarm, AC controller), changing furnace filter, etc… - The leisure activities: Quite a few amenities are available: golf terrain, 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts and a basketball court. There also are four small picnic shelters around the complex. - Technology: Not a TV guy, but I know I get free premium channels provided (HBO, CBS, AMS, etc…). What I would really want to point out though is the surprisingly good internet connection provided for FREE: this seems to be an ongoing process with multiple upgrades made in a short period of time. We’re currently getting a 200Mbps connection! This is more than enough for heavy gaming, movie streaming and multiple device access without any deterioration in service quality. I’m a very heavy user and have a record of multiple ISP dissatisfactions: having such a decent connection provided for free is something I personally value very much! Summary: Extremely pleased and happy to be here. I will not leave this place unless I buy my own house or move out of Columbia. I do encourage everyone to check their website for details and consider living here if they meet the required qualifications.

    • What's not to like?

      April 11, 2018
Nearly nine years ago, I found it impossible to afford to maintain my rather large house and yard. I sold my house and moved into Broadway Village, based solely on “curb appeal”. I would like what I’m about to write to be a surprise, but I’m sure that there are many, many persons who knew this before I did: Broadway Village has been a lovely, convenient place to live. The grounds are beautifully kept, the infrastructure is maintained continuously, and the apartment features are updated ...
routinely. I didn’t feel as though I were moving into someone else’s apartment. Most recently, the Internet system has been updated (the second time since I’ve lived here!). The modem I had purchased nine years ago when I moved in, was failing, so I purchased a replacement. Over Easter weekend the owner Mr. Hagan came to my apartment and installed the modem for me since I had unplugged everything and had no idea of how to put it back together again, restoring Internet capability to my computer. And, I might add, cable Internet and television are provided at no charge to residents! Just one of the many amenities which make Broadway Village a win-win situation for retirees, professionals, and graduate students over all other choices.

    • Worthy of a look

      February 16, 2018
I’ve lived at Broadway Village for nearly 23 years and I’ve found it to be a wonderful place to live. I don’t have anything against college students, but for several reasons I’d rather not live in a college-town complex that caters to undergraduates. In contrast, Broadway Village is tailored to meet the needs of adults. The apartments are spread across 70 acres of rolling wooded terrain, with ample green space left between the 8-unit buildings that comprise the development. The only criticism I ...
have of the grounds (because I walk the development every day) is the lack of a sidewalk for circumnavigation. The apartments are located adjacent to a major thoroughfare (Broadway), and thus are convenient to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Despite this, the apartments are separated from the busy street and are relatively quiet. Covered parking is available and recommended, as it protects against the sun as well as the elements. There are many other amenities available, including private storage space attached to the apartments, and cable TV and Internet access (included in the rent). The maintenance people are long-time employees of Dan’s, and their experience is demonstrated in the quality of their maintenance and in the beauty of their landscaping. There is a reassuring seasonal routine about everything here at Broadway Village. Some may find the gaggle of Canada geese who inhabit the grounds during the day intrusive or be annoyed by the small groups of deer that visit the grounds after midnight. But I take it as a privilege to be able to live in such natural surroundings in the midst of a conveniently-sized city.

      February 11, 2018
I have had the best experience living here at Broadway Village Apartments for the last 16 years. Safe environment, well-kept grounds and immediate maintenance when needed. We have two beautiful swimming pools, a little golf course, tennis courts, basketball courts, laundry room with many washers and dryers. There is also hookup for your own washer and dryer right off the kitchen. There is a beautiful lake for fishing. The apartments are spacious with updated appliances on a timely basis. The ...
internet is provided as well as cable vision that is part of your rent. There is a lovely room that you can rent out for special occasions, baby showers, etc. There is a model apartment you can explore and see exactly what you are getting when you become part of the Broadway Village Apartments Community.

    • Make Broadway Village the First Place You Look

      January 30, 2018
Broadway Village is the ideal place to live for multiple reasons. I moved to Columbia in January of 2017, and Broadway Village was recommended to me by several people. It has a great location, as it is near several good food spots, grocery stores, hardware stores, etc. It is also attached to a 100 acre park where you can walk, run, ride a bike, or pretty much whatever you want to do. It is also close to the I-70 junction, so its very easy to get on the road and get going to Kansas City or St. ...
Louis. It is a very quiet complex. It has more of a neighborhood feel where it is spread out and not on top of each other. There is plenty of parking, and even a covered parking spot for just about every unit. There is a good mixture of families, grad students, seniors, and young couples. The maintenance crew is very quick and efficient. I have needed their assistance on more than one occasion, and every time it would get done before I could even get back from work. From a price standpoint, it is also tough to beat. Premium cable and internet included. Very low rates compared to everywhere else in town. It is an ideal spot for those who don't want to commit to a home just yet, or are new to the area and trying to figure out Columbia. I ultimately left Broadway Village for a larger apartment, but I have since decided that once my current lease is up, I am likely going back to Broadway Village. The property manager is very knowledgeable, and willing to work with people to accommodate them as best as he can. When you factor in location, price, quality of living, and overall care of the property, Broadway Village will be at the top of your list more often than not. I will be excited to return there in the future when I can.

I've lived here going on nine years this time - lived here three different times. It is the best location in Columbia, MO. Within two miles of anything anyone would need - shopping, restaurants, medical facilities, University, two colleges, grade/middle/high school, parks, lakes, library, churches, theaters, banks. Best kept complex in the city. Best landscaped complex. Park-like surroundings with small lake and golf course. Great sized apartments, well laid out in 8-plex buildings insuring ...
privacy with balcony or patios. Covered parking available. Swimming pools and tennis courts. City bus line. Diversity of neighbors. Quiet. Landlord, staff at our beck and call, always ready if needed. Country setting in the City - Heaven on Earth.

    • Nice complex, good location

      August 9, 2015
I lived here for three years and overall it is a nice complex located close to the University of Missouri and Columbia college. First off, great location with easy drive to the colleges and a grocery store, wal-mart, Lowes, Starbucks Chipotle, and other food places just across the street (within walking distance). Second, this complex has a nice secluded feeling with trees and separation from the traffic/street. But this comes with a consistent group of easily agitated Canadian geese, the ...
occasional deer, and a constant combat with spiders and wasps. This is a quiet area that is well-suited for the busy professional or graduate student. Third, this is a well maintained complex that has a maintenance staff that will react quickly to your needs. If your microwave goes out, you will quickly see them walk over with a new one. They will regularly change air filters and once in awhile spray for bugs. One issue some have had is that plowing sidewalks after snowfall is slow. I luckily had a neighbor who tried to pick up the slack. Fourth, the staff is not overtly friendly on the surface. There is a minimum salary requirement for the complex or you need to show proof of being a graduate student. The move-in and move-out dates are strictly based on the school calendar and renewals are only annual. Also be prepared to cede your security deposit to move-out costs such as carpet cleaning. Overall I had a pleasant living experience and enjoyed the easy-going and quiet arrangement. I had lots of room and even enjoyed paying extra for covered parking right next to my building. Towards the end I would have preferred more flexibility in moving out dates. But during my graduate studies at the nearby college this was an ideal apartment.
