Safe, quiet, nice view, very reliable management team!
July 14, 2019I am a young professional working in Menlo Park and commuting every day. My key criteria for choosing an apartment were: safe neighborhood, reliable management team, next to nature, good view, convenient commute and affordable price (for the bay area). From day one to today, when I renewed my second lease with them, Sandy, the manager has been very trustworthy and helpful. She is awesome, and I have plenty of experience with renting. I was worried about the utility bill as at many of the bay area ...residences, it is highly variable and exorbitant. That's not the case here, as Sandy assured me. Robert, who is attending to the building's needs, has been very prompt and repaired the very few things that happened over the past year. In particular I appreciated his help as I set up the apartment at the beginning. The walls are thin but I've now lived in 3 different places around the Menlo Park area and that's just California housing. Overall, I think the neighborhood is safe, I go running at odd hours and come home late at times. I too ended up sending my mail to work, but that was a small inconvenience. Visitors park along the street, sometimes they have to go a bit far, but once again, not a big deal for me. The access to 280 is very quick, which is important. I like the large balconies and the proximity to the park here...nature :). Carlmont village is within walking distance so you can get all the basics. Overall, I very much like my apartment and my stay in this apartment complex. There are many families as well as professionals. I highly recommend it especially if you are looking for good quality housing at an affordable price!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Apartment
April 17, 2019I have lived in these apartments for a long time (two separate units) and would recommend. Sandy and Robert have done a great job as the on-site managers. Good central location and can walk to shopping area very close by.Review from Apartments.com
Great management, nice place but hard parking
April 13, 2019I have lived here for 1 year. Overall, I've enjoyed my experiences living here. Some detailed pros/cons below: Pros: 1. Property manager, Sandy, is great. She and her husband live on the property and are available via email and text throughout the day. When our toilet was clogged, her husband came to fix it immediately for free. 2. Safe location. It's next to an elementary school and a retirement community. I have never felt afraid even when I've come back around midnight. 3. Nearby plaza. ...The location is within a 10 minute walk of a Safeway, Starbucks, Ike's Sandwiches and various eateries. Cons: 1. Parking. Parking is hard due to the sheer number of people who own cars on this street. Spots on the street are taken quickly. One garage spot came with the unit, but since I have roommates it's still been difficult at times. 2. There was a package thief for a month or two at the apartment. Not sure who it was but I ended up having packages delivered to my workplace. Overall, I have had a good experience living here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not worth it at current rates
October 19, 2017I lived there for 6 years, if you were in one of the two upstairs apartments facing west, it was a beautiful view with great sun, all the other ones were pretty bad. The walls are paper thin so you could hear everything, and most residents made no attempt to be quiet... While I was there it changed owner ship almost every single year, and the place just kept going down hill. I was already looking to move out when they suddenly jacked the price up an additional $600, at that rate you can do ...MUCH better elsewhere. The current manager was not at all courteous and not pleasant to work with. And in 2016, all at once several punks with jacked up cars moved into the neighborhood and blasted the whole area with there super loud mufflers, it really started feeling like a slum... I was really glad to be forced out into greener pastures. Oh, my car was stolen from my parking spot there too, I didn't see other signs it was a dangerous area but I guess it was, and I remember reading there were lots of residential break-ins around town.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
