Used to be nice
February 17, 2019Under new management and failing - Georgia West is a shadow of its former self. There used to be fun activities for residents, laundry service, and a clean space that was rodent free. What you get is the opposite - the County is building a purple light rail in the area - and the mice have traveled to the apartments. It is uncontrollable and a health hazard. I was so disgusted I left.Property Manager Responded

Love it here!
July 22, 2015I have lived at Georgia West for four years and it's the best place to live in Silver Spring! I am only moving out because I am moving to another state. The building is older than most other buildings in the area, but this means the apartments are much bigger, and the walls are solid. The building is also kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. My one bedroom is 860 square feet and I can never hear my neighbors. The building also has a large pool (which is never busy, always plenty of room), gym, ...business center, party room, secure parking, on-site laundry (also never busy) and the rental office signs for packages. The building is walking distance to downtown Silver Spring, which has a lot of restaurants, some stores, and a great farmer's market on Saturdays. The building is also less than half a mile from Silver Spring metro, and close to the beltway and 29. Overall, you can't beat the price and square footage of the apartments. I have seen some of the newer buildings in the area and they are much smaller, and much more expensive.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Georgia West: close to metro & quiet
August 11, 2014I've lived at Georgia West for 3 years. It's close to the metro, shopping, and lots of restaurants. It's pretty quiet and the residents are all very nice. There is garage parking, a small gym, and the pool is relaxing and never crowded. Newer units have granite, stainless, and cherry cabinets. The lobby and hallways could use an update but overall I've been very pleased with Georgia West.Review from Apartments.com
