$1500 down the drain in 2023 so far!
March 20, 2023The pipes UNDER my apartment were installed wrong and so, naturally, Kara West is charging me for the repairs! I'm also being charged an extra $200 a month to have my dishwasher and microwave ripped out of the kitchen with no replacement! Each month! Fun! No hot water in 2023, but plenty of cold water pouring into my closet and bedroom!Property Manager Responded

STAY AWAY FROM KARA WEST!!
November 12, 2022STAY AWAY FROM KARA WEST!! It’s been a month and a half since we requested repair service/emergency assessment after a portion on the living room/kitchen ceiling came down due to Hurricane Ian (Sept 28th). We tried to contact the office through email every week to get updates on the service requested and they never gave us a day or anything, alleging that we were not the only tenants having that issue. After the first month, I was getting headaches on a daily basis and on Thursday Nov 3rd, I ...started to feel bad, got sick and passed out during work. That’s when I realized that something really bad was going on. On November 8th I went to see the property manager at the office, she was very nice to me and said that she was going to speak to the owner of the building to let him know what’s going on and she will get back to me on the following days. On November 11th, two other portions of the ceiling came down exposing mold on the drywall and spreading the blown-out insulation throughout the apartment unit. Everything got contaminated and I left the apartment for the weekend because I had trouble breathing and headaches started again. They DON’T care about the tenants, they are super good at collecting rent but inefficient and irresponsible with the their tenants. If you care about your health and life quality, STAY AWAY FROM KARA WEST!!Property Manager Responded
