  • CONTINUOUS MOLD ISSUE

    October 21, 2023
    Continuous MOLD ISSUES!!! I have lived on the property since April. Back in August, around 5 am, water started pouring out of the bathroom vent. It turned out to be a leak from the bathroom above. Although an initial inspection of my space was done that day, It took maintenance several days to look at the damage done in the bathroom. When they did, they cut a hole in the ceiling. The hole in the ceiling was left open for 1.5 weeks, maintenance never came back to clean up their mess (after ...
    several complaints to the office), AND the bathroom was impossible to use due to the strong smell of MOLD. The maintenance staff did not sufficiently seal the ceiling hole, so anytime I used the bathroom, I would have to cover my mouth with my shirt because I would start coughing. After two days, I looked in the actual ceiling while the hole was still open, and saw rotting wood/drywall, and lots of mold. Instantly making me extremely concerned for my health. As I am immunocompromised. After 1.5 weeks of not being able to use the bathroom the ceiling hole was finally closed. The repair took about an hour to complete and nothing within the hole/ceiling was cleaned or inspected AT ALL. Within the last 2 weeks, the mold smell has returned. I reached out to the apartment management, and was met with dismissive responses, and no concern for my health. The area where the ceiling was “fixed” is also now turning brown due to moisture seeping through, as well as the area surrounding it. The management offered to bring in a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier is an industrial sized machine, that caused at least a 10 degree heat increase in the bathroom and attached bedroom, was VERY noisy, had a tube going into one of my sinks (making it unusable), and used an excessive amount of power that would obviously be put on my electric bill. I finally got a contractor hired by management come look at the moisture with a meter after threats of bringing a health inspector in multiple times. The second he put the meter up to the ceiling it lit up bright red. Immediately revealing there is moisture. After explaining my past concerns to him, he measured the moisture of other areas in the bathroom and there were at least 4 other spots in the red, with additional ones in the yellow. At no time did the management have any concern for the impact living in a MOLDY APARTMENT CAUSED CONTINUAL FACILITY NEGLECT. At no time was I offered another apartment, any form of compensation, validation, etc.

    The complex is nicely located, the amenities fine, the staff generally courteous, the units moderate; however, expect to be charged for anything listed in the lease agreement-read it well before signing. Also, the ability to transfer between properties clause is a joke.

    They are managed by MAA so keep that in mind because there are other properties in the area with same management. They are the noisiest place I've ever lived. While the staff are friendly, they are not knowledgeable and care little about the safety of your property. They have cameras on trash area but none in garage. My $600 bike was stolen and my car vandalized. You pay a pet deposit and pet rent each month but these funds do not cover any pet related cleaning. I left the apartment cleaner ...
    than when I moved in and they still charged me $179 to clean it plus an additional $143 pet related fee. Be wary if you have a pet. While there are no breed restrictions you will have additional cleaning fees when you leave regardless of how much you clean. The trash compactor was always on the fritz causing swarms of flies/gnats that invade your home. The fire alarms went off no less than 10 times in less than 2 yrs of living here. All but 2 times were during the day while I was working. I work from home, taking meetings that I had to reschedule due to fire alarm mistakes. Very embarrassing and unprofessional. The other two were late at night while trying to sleep...during the week no less. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Choose another complex.

  • Worst in the area

    This property is by far the worst one I’ve ever lived in. Starting with the property manager. I hate to say it it’s clear she knows someone to be able to have this job. She horrible at her job. The entire team is horrible under her. Maintenance guys are filthy. They walk in with shoes and always reek of cigarettes. Property is not taken care of. Things fall Apart everyday. Worst of all? Their first floors all have mold.

  • Rip-off

    If you have money to throw away, then tattersall is your place. The rent fluctuates and there are ridiculous fees on your bill. Seriously pay attention and just review it. The rent never stays the same. And if you are a day late, be prepared for eviction papers and additional cost quickly filed against you. No remorse. I am soo happy I left and it was a very hard lesson learned. I am happily moved on 2 years in a place where not only does the rent stays the same, but there's great insulation ...
    in the apartments and I save a lot on my electrical bill as well {under $100 is magnificant}. I was warned and didn't listen, don't be fooled.

  • Extremely poor management

    Lived here for over a year and during that time had 5 maintenance problems with the air conditioning going out. Each time they would come out within a day or so and just recharge the freon rather than fixing the problem. Elevators consistently down and not working. Place is filthy. They spend a lot of time landscaping and keeping the areas that are normally shown during a walk-through looking good. Pool is beautiful. Lobby is beautiful... the rest is filthy (stairwells, hallways, parking garage, ...
    etc) Unfortunately, I can't say one nice thing about the people running the place. Extremely poor customer service, flat out rudeness, talking over customers, cutting them off, belittling.

  • Walls are thin

    This is a beautiful apartment. However, the walls are so thin and the way that the apartment is built means you can hear anyone that sits outside on their balcony that is on the phone or even coughing. Would not live here again.

  • HORRIBLE PROPERTY MANAGER

    We loved living here. Truly, it is a fantastic apartment complex, relatively safe, and amazing amenities both in and around the apartment. HOWEVER, our only complaint is the property manager, Theresa. Point blank, she is awful at her job and shouldn’t be in a position that involves manners with the public. You can’t get a word in edgewise with her, she will talk over you, very fake individual. If she wasn’t in the way, this place would have a 5 star.

    This apartment complex is so adorable and just so well maintained. The staff in the office is helpful and really excited about this property. The apartment we have is small but the layout doesn't make it feel that way! Its very open and gives you a lot of space to really work with the area you're given. I love this place and i'm excited to have this as my first apartment in Jacksonville.
