Not recommended at all!!
November 25, 2018This apartment is managed by Parklane Management. I rented with this management for 5 year and my advice is: DO NOT RENT any apartments managed by this company. It’s all right when you get into the lease. They have nice managers who talk professionally to you. The problems surface when you try to renew the lease and gets worse when you try to leave. The management increases rent around 8-10% every 6 months (I was told at the beginning of my 5th year that a year long lease was not possible). When ...I thought it was no longer worth it to pay that huge rent amount (considering what I was getting for the money, the other apartments in the same locality are more reasonably priced have nicer amenities), and wanted to leave, the nightmare begun. Gone were the civil apartment managers. The manager I had interacted with for the last year did not answer my emails. I was manhandled by a rough looking guy who scolded and intimidated me during the checkout meeting when I was alone with him in the apartment. I really felt scared as a single woman dealing with such a rough, big guy who ripped out the coils of the cooking range burners and pulled out the fridge and the cooking range out of their wall placement, to show me that I should have cleaned the cobwebs behind the fridge and cooking range. He broke the cooking range burners in front of my face, and then accused me of breaking it. When I reported this harassment to the management company, they told me that this was an isolated incident and that Aziz (the rough guy sent to check me out of the rental) is “blunt”. That this incident will be dealt with “internally”. No action was taken about how badly I was treated. I now live in fear that his guy may harm me. I got only $28 of my $300 deposit back. So before leaving make sure that you get UPDATED written instructions on what exactly are their current cleaning standards. The Move Out Instruction Package I got, misinformed me on what I needed to do. Just getting a general cleaning done by a professional cleaner is apparently not enough. I was asked to go ask for a refund from the cleaner because the cleaning did not meet Parklane’s expected standards. They do not have any amenities like a club house, gym or pool but charge rent as if they do! Look for other apartments in the locality for a better experience. These people have gravely abused my loyalty and trust. I will never recommend them for anything!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Unavailable building manager ants!
April 1, 2017Everything about this apartment building is great except for these two things: 1) The manager is not available. Does not answer phone calls and is very late answering emails. She is only proactive when she needs to renew the lease and wants you to meet all deadlines they set, but is not readily available when you need her. 2) There is an ant infestation in the ground level apartments every summer! Very annoying. I don't think they ever do any pest control.Review from Apartments.com
