October 11, 2017This place is a dump; landlady "Candy" is a slumlord. I lived her for 7 years...7 years too long. The previous owner let the collapsing roof go for too long but eventually replaced it. However, there was a huge mold problem in the ceiling and Candy promised to fix...she did not. The wall unit AC in the studio didn't cool. When it was replaced, it was too small for the space so they put "surtape" to fill in the gaps. This meant that the studio was never cool, therefore causing the mold in the ...ceiling to thrive....completely disgusting. I complained many many times and her maintenance guy kept checking it out but did nothing. Electric was included in the rent and in y final months of renting here she came to me and complained that the electric bill was too high. The electrical meter was shared with the unit next door and I told Candy that the AC runs nonstop so that's why the bill was so high. Her response was requesting an increase of $100 a month for the rent, which would mean that I would be paying close to $900 a month for a studio! Crazy! I left and spent too many years dealing with that crazy slumlord. Stay away, rent somewhere else.
