Zero sound insulation
May 20, 2021If you live in any floor that isn't the top floor of 156-158 Summer Street, I advise you to buy earplugs. When the neighbors above me walk in a normal fashion, it sounds like a herd of elephants is stampeding across the Sahara. I never hear anyone beside me — only those above. And I love prewar buildings — radiators, brick — but I'm not sure what happened when they were building this one. Perhaps they ran out of concrete, iron, and steel, and opted instead to use newspaper to round out the ...construction? It's beautiful, but it's loud.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Worth the Money
August 9, 2015This is a well maintained building with maintenance staff onsite if every needed. This apartment has a nice inviting courtyard, and is in a great central location. You're within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and live entertainment . You're also within a mile of Harvard University, and a ten minute train ride to downtown Boston.
