December 8, 2024The management at Southgate are really great to work with and get ahold of. Armend is fantastic, he fixes/helps with any requests you have within days, if not the day of you requesting something fixed if needed. The location is safe and kept clean. I enjoy that they do a community bbq in the summer and a clothing drive for those in need. I’ve lived here for 2 years and I am very pleased with my experiences.Review from Apartments.com

January 12, 2023The place is ok. The apartments are pretty spacious and clean. It is not the luxury lifestyle it boasts. No events at the clubhouse or anything social. Neighbors are unfriendly. Kitchen sink Drain never worked, washer and dryer require multiple rounds to get clothes clean or dry. Extremely inefficient for gas and electric. Unfriendly, uncaring, and hard to reach office staff. Random things constantly fall off like the towel racks or the door knobs. Packages and deliveries are constantly lost or ...stolen and staff does not help you with retrieval. Very thin walls. No guest parking. Very small fitness center with broken machines. August 31, 2020Armend, the gentlemen in charge of maintenance, has been so helpful throughout my stay at Southgate Apartments. He is very friendly and would always answer my calls and texts and take care of all issues, right away. When I moved out of my apartment, I had to leave for Florida right away and Armend was able to keep me in the loop with the moving out process and made everything go smoothly.Review from Apartments.com

Not worth the cost. Not close to ‘Luxury’
August 10, 2019The places look nice when looking at new units. The paint on the walls scuffs if you look at it. Literally had a tissue box on a table, when I moved it, I found it marked the wall. Low end appliances and counter tops that stain easily (there goes the security deposit). Tout a pool. Was only open during the week starting on June 22nd! Tenants are required to keep two large trash cans in their garages and expected to keep their cars in there too. 1) garages are barely wide enough for a ...mid sized car. Compacts fit but you cannot open both doors as not enough width. So passengers have to get out before pulling in. 2) Garages are barely long enough to fit a mid sized car with the trash cans. You have to touch the trash can that is firmly against the wall with your bumper lest the garage door come down on your car. 3) The garage that you cannot park in is considered one of your two parking spaces. So your spouse will need to find a spot in guest parking if you are a two car household. I was here for a couple of years and they have no problem asking for a healthy rent increase from existing tenants thereby charging them more than a stranger would pay for the same apartment just moving in. I am talking several hundred $ more for the same unit. This is why there are hardly any long term tenants. Those that stay are not valued. DIRTY. When I first moved in the common areas were cleaned several times a week. The carpet in my hallway had not been vacuumed in months! I know this because there was still Halloween ‘glitter’ in the same spot of the hallway well into the spring. Carpets and flooring in common areas are stained. Noise - while the community itself is pretty quiet for some reason anyone talking in the hallway got broadcasted into my master bath. Very nice benefit if you are trying to sleep. Move out. Residents are expected to shampoo or hire someone to shampoo the carpets. What kind of rental requirement is that? 24/7 Access to building mgmt team. NOT. They are in the office 10-6 (when tenants are at work). The few times I called, went to voicemail and I had to call back because calls not returned. “Community Room” looks nice but there are never any activities planned. If you want to have a gathering it is available for renting. Nice. The only thing luxurious about this place is the price.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don’t do it.
July 23, 2019Walls are paper thin and poorly insulated. Every morning I wake up to the sound of my neighbors flushing their toilet, that’s if I’m lucky enough to sleep through the business that comes before that. Then I get the pleasure of listening to what sounds like a full court basket ball game take place above my head for the rest of the day. And there is no parking.
