From the ale sampler (featuring over a half dozen in-house brews) to hearty pints of both dark and light varieties, the Allentown Brew Works has just about something for everyone. Of course, the food rates almost as highly as the beer at this all-encompassing tavern, with exotic menu options such as Weinerschnitzel, baby back ribs, large pretzels doused with mustard and, of course, the Pennsylvania specialty steak sandwich all readily available. The Allentown Brew Works even hosts a weekly open-mic comedy night, where you and your fellow apartment-ites can muscle up the courage to try and make the locals bust a gut. For the non-performer, their Doggie Yappie Hour is a popular afternoon excursion, where your furry best friend is welcome to hang with other Allentown dogs as you mingle with their owners, beer mug in hand.
