Cons: I think the hardest part living here is there is no elevator, we live on the 4th floor so it's a bigger issue for us than others. The laundy situation sucks. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the whole building and they don't work well, I always have to run the dryer 2x. We were never offered the option of storage even though the basement is a labyrinth of storage units. Our unit has no dishwasher (though I think some units may.) I don't know about the other units, but even though our apartment is 2000 sq. Ft. our kitchen is like the size of a walk-in closet with barely any counter space. There is a small storage cubby above our tub for someone who is 8 feet tall, but the shower head is positioned for someone who is 4 feet tall (we bought a removable shower head and problem solved.) The water pressure sucks and it's hard to regulate the temperature. It's an old building and has done some settling so some of the doors don't seal all the way, our bedroom door, for instance. We are very close to a hospital, so there are a lot of ambulance sirens. Pros: This building is just amazing! The basement is a real conversation piece for guests. It has many hallways covered in eclectic tiles with scenes from all around the world. There are tiles and paintings that go all through the building, it's like strolling through a museum. Each hallway seems to have a different theme. Our is birds in peach trees. There is an cute outdoor sitting area around back where people keep potted plants. The entrances are very private, with front and back entrances. I rarely hear the other tenants. Our unit is painted fun colors, has hardwood floors, built-in bookshelves, a crystal chandelier, a skylight, unique archways and is very spacious. They don't make 'em like this anymore!
