Don't move here
August 12, 2022The apartments look nice before you move in. But once you live there you realize that everything inside is made of the cheapest possible materials, many of which don't work well or are difficult to clean. The bathrooms have a constant build-up of black mold. Both my bathroom sink and shower drain get clogged up with black mold about once a month. Management will not replace the pipes. They will unclog them but not replace them, although not sure that it would make a difference, since I ...learned from someone who previously worked in the apartment industry that the bathrooms have poor ventilation which is why there is constant black moldProperty Manager Responded

Terrible staff & bug/mice issue
March 11, 2022I have lived here for less than a year and there has NEVER been consistent people in the office. No one ever has any answers when I have questions, there hasn’t even been a real property manager on sight since January. Not just the poor management, but my apartment is invested with bugs. AND we have spotted multiple mice. All of which we have gotten zero assistance with. I do NOT recommend Ashford at Geneva to anyone.Property Manager Responded

May 9, 2019Michelle, Seana and the maintenance staff are the nicest I've ever dealt with anywhere. I've only been here during the past 3 toughest months of the year, but everything from getting an apartment during the winter months and getting things fixed before I have even moved in have been awesome. Current Resident
July 30, 2015I have lived here for over 2 years and have seen multiple management companies in charge. Management doesn't really care if you are a resident.The apartments are over priced for what you get. My rent has gone up $200 over the last 2 years. This upcoming year, my rent is up $250. My apartment, and people I have spoken too, has horrible lighting, making me feel tired and depressed. Units are small and the kitchen has very little counter top space. I do like how I have central air and an in unit ...washer and dryer. Last winter, my master bedroom window was broken with a small hole from the outside. It took maintenance over a month and a half to get it fixed, in the middle of winter. Not only did it make my bedroom inhabitable, it also increased my gas bill. When I called, the assistant manager told me it "can't be that cold." My unit is also infested with bugs. There was a terrible carpenter ant problem last winter. Over all, service is awful and ineffective. The best thing about Ashford at Geneva is the location. There are great bike trails and paths connecting to the Fox River Trail. It is surrounded by nice neighborhoods and extremely close to downtown Geneva. There is also a 24 hour Walgreen and Meijer right down the street. I feel all apartment complexes are the same in service. The location is awesome here, the value and cost per square foot is too high and unjustified, and the quality of the apartment is mediocre but better than average.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Perfect
August 31, 2015This apartment complex is perfect if you want classy but family oriented. Unlike other apartments in the area its close to the metro station, excellent restaurants and excellent downtown shopping. Great view, great location, animals welcome!
August 25, 2015Been lucky enough to call this apartment home for over a year. Our unit, like most that are welcoming new owners, has recently been remodeled with new carpets, faux-hardwood flooring, brand new appliances including a gas stove, and even fancy thick white blinds. This place really feels like home. The icing on the cake is the great location. The secluded neighborhood is close enough to downtown Geneva that it can be walked, which isn't a bad idea after a big dinner at the areas best ...restaurants. But als biking to the major paths that go along the river is a breeze. The unit, like most on the outer ring of apartments also includes a great view of the park the neighborhood borders. This view has yet to get old, as it really allows you to feel like you're outside of a complex all together and you can enjoys watching dogs play(Ashford is dog and cat friendly) and watch the seasons go by. Which can also be enjoyed on the patios each unit has. Though most are shared with your neighbor. Which cuts into privacy if that is you biggest concern, but also allows you to meet and be friendly with them. Which might explain why most people here seem so friendly. Ashford also has caring maintaince staff, we had our heat go out at the start of winter and the broken part was fixed in a day and was stress free. Also our AC went out and after trying for a day to fix it they replaced the whole unit in less than a week. Definitely nice to know they will help. Though our only complaint is the AC/heat blower fan inside is quite loud, so keep your remote close to change volume a bit when it kicks on. Overall this place has been great for my girlfriend and I, the price is not painful, the location is great, staff is friendly and our view is to die for.
