Renters Reviews and Ratings
Over-priced And Under-sized. Deal Of The Century! That's New York.
August 11, 2015Don't take it in context. If you do, you'll end up calling it a deal. I could afford to buy for what I pay in rent, if only I had enough saved for a down payment. That said, I have nice floors and am a block and a half from the subway. The rooms are small and the kitchen is out-dated, though the appliances work. Same goes for the coin-operated washers and dryers in the basement of the building. It isn't a social building, nor are the neighbors hostile. Expect obligatory nods; don't expect to ...make friends. There are several restaurants within walking distance, not many of which are good. Try ABV for food and drinks, Guthrie Inn for drinks, and Vinyl Wines for alcohol. Gourmet Garage is not gourmet, but is your best option for groceries. The launderer/dry cleaner around the corner ruined a shirt and blamed me. Steer clear. Street parking is free and not hard to find, if you arrive when others are departing. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and dull, but within walking distance of Central Park and Second Avenue in the Eighties, which is more lively, though not as much fun as downtown.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
