September 25, 2015*This building offers subsidized housing. A 2 bedroom apartment in the Morrisania neighborhood of The Bronx. The area is not so bad, it's by the Grand Concourse and near Yankee Stadium. Transportation nearby are the B/D and 4 trains and the BX 1/2/35 and 11 busses - getting anywhere wont really be a problem. The big issue (for me) with the apartment is that it faces directly onto the street.. this means that you get a lot of noise from people passing by and sometimes from people hanging out ...infront of the building, etc. If you open the window you also get smoke from passersby. The window sills of this apartment also get pretty dirty from the pollution you get from the cars outside. During heavy rain there has also been flooding in this apartment. This issue has been addressed by management - as long as they periodically snake the main line there wont be any flooding. At times rats can be heard within the walls of the apartment, but none have entered it - thank God. Management is usually on top of issues like these if you make sure to notify them. The management company is also now renovating the kitchens, bathrooms of all apartments in the building and putting in cameras on all floors.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
