Close to Campus and Decent on a Budget
January 18, 2025It's definitely an older apartment as it's nearly 100 years old (but with a whimsy kind of charm!). It's clean enough and the units are fairly large with covered carport parking available which is really great in the winter. It does not have any fancy, modern, corporate-feel amenities but it's good if you're a student on a tight budget and want/need to live alone. I have found it to be very quite which is very good if you need to study a lot. The main positive is the GREAT location that is ...right across the street from the University of Minnesota-St. Paul Campus, maybe half a mile (walkable/biker friendly) from many cute shops and good restaurants/cafes on Como Ave. The neighborhood feels pretty safe overall and it's the cheapest studio/1 bedroom you'll find this close to UMN-St. Paul campus that isn't falling apart or in a house where you have multiple roommates. The only real negative I have is that you have to pay kind of a lot ($1.75 per machine) for laundry (1 communal washer/dryer set located in the basement). Horrible place
November 22, 2023very old they don’t care that it is an old appt. you can hear everyone and the appt is disgusting. All they do is paint the walls and hate their tenants for making living noises. I tried to tell them my neighbors we're loud and they said it was just an old building. I expect any apartment to be livable and reasonable. this place is disgustingly expensive for stained floors and creaky ceilings. if you find a cheaper place live there. the landlord makes someone else figure out issues with tennants ...i have never had a response from the person i toured with only his partner, pam. nothing against pam but i expect one of them to be the landlord not bothRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
