Everyone has ants
January 23, 2021It’s a fairly old building and the newly available units are updated enough but I have ants and every other tenant I’ve talked to also has ant problems. My repeated complaints have only been responded to with ant spray being left at my door. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers coin-operated on site but they are never cleaned so I prefer to go to a laundromat. No safety concerns since I’ve been here but it feels unsafe (and really inconvenient) having to get out of my car to manually unlock, open, & ...close the gate to the parking area especially at night. The walls are thin so much so that I hear one of my neighbors snoring at night. The grounds are pretty and it has nice views.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

September 25, 2015The apartment is ok mostly because of the location. It's convenient to public transpo, walking to grocery and convenience stores and walking distance to Lake Merritt. It's fairly safe, with occasional incidents. The grounds are kept fairly clean. The issues I have are that the apartments are not upgraded at all. The laundry facilities are old and dusty and not really usable, so even tough laundry is onsite, you have to go to the laundry mat. The garages are all manual, so even at night and/or ...in the rain (there's no covering) you have to get in and out of the car to open and close the garage/gate. The actual apartments are old and not upgraded and management is slow to respond to replacing things, unless something really major (fridge) breaks.
