At this price point in the rest of Manhattan, you're looking at getting a studio at best. Most of the time if you want a one bedroom you have to move to a less desired neighborhood, but in our case we found the best of both worlds. We are located directly across the street from Riverside Park, General Grant's Memorial, and beautiful Riverside Church. We are a 10 minute walk from Columbia University so the area is very safe with both police and university private security patrolling the area. We walk about 5 minutes to the 1 train at 125th street, and can reach the ACBD trains in about 10 minutes (1 stop from Columbus circle). Once the Columbia University Medical School is complete at 125th street the area's revival will be almost complete. We have local restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. thriving and more under construction. I give this area 5 years before rents skyrocket, so take advantage of a great area with proximity to a park, great restaurants, and a growing identity that won't require you to live in a closet!
