door; it honestly smells like pizza 24/7 :) Fresh bakeries are all around the apartment. It feels as if I was traveling the streets of Italy, without the six hour plane ride and the inability to speak with the natives. Hanover street is a few blocks away and is full of tourists, but the yummy Italian food makes up for the packed streets. The newly developed grass area that separates the North End from the West End is a slice of heaven. Tourists, Bostonians, and animals all enjoy the outdoors while some brave souls even enter the water spouts. The apartment is spacious for the petite nature of the North End. Two bedrooms on opposite sides of the apartment for privacy, a spacious living room that fits two couches, a large eat-in kitchen, a bathroom, and a spare room that has become the dream walk-in closet (which could be a third bedroom easily). With brand new hardwood floors throughout the apartment, it feels spacious yet has the classic Italian design features like the glass tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom has much to be desired with only a shower, but it does the job. Having no elevator in the building was difficult at first, especially moving in, but it has become my workout without having to go to the gym; so the stairs saved me a gym membership! This apartment is simple living. It needs a new carpet for the stairs leading to all apartments, but inside the apartment there is the space to be creative and create a warm and welcoming home. The North End is the neighborhood for everyone. If only it was a little bit bigger...
