Horrible.
August 14, 2017The management that runs this place should all be fired and replaced. They don't return phone calls or emails even during emergencies. Our fridge had gone out, and they literally started ducking our calls at the front office. This is far from the first issue we've had with them. Not to mention the shootings and all the kids running around throwing eggs and vandalizing all the time. If you value you the safety and sanity of you and your family, you'll stay as far away from herec and roscoe ...properties as possible.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Detailed Review
May 16, 2017I've been living in this complex for about six months now. Like any property, there are good and bad things about living here. These apartments have no breed restrictions, and all first-floor apartments have small yards. The management company has been doing some significant upgrades on the community: a new playground, expanded dog park, exterior renovations, and a new gym expansion to name a few. The interiors are also upgraded/getting upgrades as well. Maintenance requests are handled in a ...decent timeframe and trash is collected multiple times a week. The environment as a whole is generally quiet/uneventful/peaceful. Security vehicles patrol the premises often. It seems like a decent place to have a family because kids are often out and about riding bikes or at the playground after school (other than that, there really is no sense of community). On the flip side, there are some pretty big cons. The most significant being major plumbing issues, and multiple maintenance requests for overflowing/backed up sinks and drains. The staff is generally very nice and helpful, but be aware that moving in was an unorganized process; we were overcharged (account was credited), we received different information from different staff members, and on move-in day no one had been in to clean our apartment since the last resident left so trying to move in and have services installed around cleaners was a hassle. Our dishwasher has never properly worked, and maintenance refuses to fix it because it was installed new so we've been handwashing since we moved in. The buildings are old and there are cosmetic issues coupled with some pretty shoddy craftsmanship. We can hear everything our upstairs neighbors do and we can generally smell strong cooking odors from neighboring apartments. There is poor exterior lighting at night. The computers in the business center are extremely slow. The public laundry is shared with 1825 Place and residents will often leave clothes sitting in the machines for hours on end. Unless you're paying via an online checking account, there are some pretty significant fees for paying rent (paying with a credit card will cost you an extra $50 per month. Money order payments are an additional $35) and there is no tolerance for late payments. At the end of the day, I'd rate the complex somewhere between fair and average.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Negative 5 Stars
April 15, 2016My wife and I (now two kids) have lived in numerous apartments within Texas and Washington, D.C. within the past five years and this place is by far the worst. The cottages are the slums. People are allowed to park wherever they like which makes it impossible to find a parking spot after returning home in the evenings. On the weekends people drop their vehicles off making it impossible to park. Other residents do not clean up after their pets, leaving a nice smell. We have submitted over a ...dozen work orders and it seems as though the apartment is destined to fall apart. When we moved in last September, the temperature was in the 100s and we were without air conditioning. The apartment refused to accommodate. In the winter, we lost heat and were given a small space heater which was an enormous fire hazard. The space heater burned by 18 month old sons hand. During a recent rainstorm, water damage from the past had not been repaired, allowing the rain from this storm to create a large bubble that is currently threatening to break through into our living room. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor, save yourself the agony of dealing with these slums, and find somewhere better to live. Especially if you have a family.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

July 20, 2015The staff is very friendly however they do not submit work orders for anything you submit in a timely manner. You have to stay on top of it because they don't. Most of the time only 2 out of the 4 computers in the business center are working.Review from Apartments.com
