Amazing, wonderful building and apartment
October 20, 2016I've been living at 2001 California Street for almost two years now and I absolutely love it. It's a gorgeous old classic building, with lots of Moorish and Art Deco details. Everyone who visits me is stunned by the entrance way, which include a beautiful mural and ceiling. My apartment is also big and spacious, even though technically it's a studio. I couldn't ask for a better building manager- she is attentive and because she lives in the building, she is very aware of anything that needs ...fixing and tends to immediately. Beautiful building, amazing place to live
October 19, 2016I live in this apartment building, and so far I have had a great experience. Not only is our apartment and the building gorgeous, but the building manager is attentive and everything is well maintained. The neighborhood is wonderful - It is residential but also close to Polk and Fillmore streets, and Japantown, so there are plenty of things to do, and I love living so close Lafeyette Park.Review from Apartments.com

I love where I live
August 14, 2015I love my apartment and the building. The units are large, with lots of vintage charm given the building was constructed in the late 1920's. Hardwood floors, fireplaces, and great views. The building is well maintained and is very close proximity to Fillmore, Japantown and Polk Gulch and the #1 bus line (I get to work in FiDi in minutes). It's built on top of bedrock, an important consideration concerning earthquakes! The management company people are nice and responsive if there is any ...issue of repair needed.
