Horrible Communication, Unhelpful, & Disgusting
January 31, 2021I have lived in this apartment for 1.5 years thus far (out of a 19-month lease). From the moment I moved in November 2019, I have been met with nothing but apathy and neglect from property management. (This building is co-managed by Park Ave South and Tri-Star Management Co's.) When I moved in, the building was already infested with rodents - rats and mice. They were feasting in the trash room of the basement and then climbing through holes into the walls of the building. This issue has never ...been resolved. I can hear the rats crawling through the walls and ceiling every night, and have caught/had to kill 3 mice in the apartment. Additionally, for two heat-seasons in a row, my unit was without heat. The apartment frequently reached 55-degree temperatures, and yet property management almost NEVER responded to any form of communication. They only JUST fixed the heat about a month ago, AFTER I threatened to take them to Housing Court. All of the smoke detectors have had dead batteries in them for MONTHS and beep incessantly. Not the worst thing in the world, but certainly neglectful and annoying. Oh! And the elevator frequently breaks down, meaning trash gets piled up in the hallways of the stairwell ... the place always smells like trash and rodents. The amenities here are nice, but frankly, it's just not worth it. The building is overpriced simply because of the shoddy renovations and its closeness to the 4-5-6. Otherwise, it's a gross neighborhood, no close grocery stores, and a HORRIBLE property management team. Save your money and get something better - AND AVOID PARK AVE SOUTH AND TRI-STAR MANAGEMENT !!!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
