Peace of mind? In New York?
September 6, 2015In a city where space is as rare as a perfectly temperate day, it's almost romantic – magical – to find yourself in an uncluttered and conveniently located apartment. Our place is just that: open, airy, and in a neighborhood we've been in love with. Queens is unassuming. It's the underdog. Astoria itself is like a secret that only its (abundant) inhabitants seem to know about. Amazing food? Check. Tons of cultures spanning every corner of every continent? Check. Our apartment sits half a ...block from the N/Q station at Ditmars Blvd., but being one street away from a mains street drowns out all noises. The living room is large and smartly spacious; the corridor from the living room to the bedroom makes the space feel long and breezy; the kitchen is brand new, completely renovated with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and a window to peak out from; and the bedroom faces the serenity and greenness of the buildings back courtyard area. Coupled with our always-smiling, extremely hospitable, accessible, and helpful superintendent, it makes our apartment a great and comfortable place to live. And the 20 minute commute to Manhattan ain't all that bad, either! But why leave "The World's Borough" at all?Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
