Avoid this place
December 12, 2016This place is a very bad choice, please avoid it at all cost. I live in unit 101 for a year, the management is extremely unaccommodating. They appear nice when they try to have you move in, but they turn extremely nasty when you try to move out. They will do whatever they can to steal your deposit. I notify them the date I will be move out in a phone call, and weeks late, just days before the move out date, the send me emails to push back move out date for another 2 weeks because I didn’t fill ...out their “official” form for moving out. Even my lease expires way before that date. They also charge me the extra two week at a much higher new rate since my lease does not cover that period. They end-up steal 900 dollar from my deposit. The apartment is facing a very busy street/freeway and it’s very loud every day, you will hear every truck pass through the freeway and the noise is also amplified by the bridge. Also a lot of homeless people live under the bridge, most of them are very nice people though. The biggest problem with this apartment is pest, the building has a very serious ant problem, and there will be army of ant march in your apartment in lines if you ever leave any food in the open. Don’t put leftover food in your trash cans, the ants will found it. The management will do pest control once a month, but ants are still there, they will not deal with it on any other day. Which means if you have ants problem during the month, they will not send people to help, they will ask you wait until next month when pest control people are schedule to show. So you have to deal with ant problem on your own. I have massive ant invasion three times in the year I live there, I spend over 300 dollar on ant trap and spread. It never stopped. The unit I rent is renovate couple years ago, but a lot of appliance are old. The management didn’t even bother to fix it even I ask them multiple times. The heater unit was in the wall and it did not work since I moved in. They didn’t fix it until I move out one year later because there will be too much work to fix a heater that build in walls. And there is a leaking problem in the shower, so there will be mold on your walls. And the management will charge your deposit for that too. So please take my advice and do not live in this apartment, you will regret it once you move in. don’t get fooled by the leasing lady, she is the worst.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
