    • Overall a great place to live.

      December 4, 2020
Rented here for the last 5 years and we have enjoyed it. The landlord and management company are usually pretty quick to get to any issues as we report them. The building is a little older, so naturally things do happen, but it's not too bad to get them fixed. They are renovating the apartments as people move out and in, so it's improving. A number of nice families currently living here, so it's good to know nice neighbors in the complex too. Kids play in the courtyard now and again which can be ...
distracting to some but nice for others that have kids and want them to have friends nearby. There are some good rules in play (like no alleyway parking and don't use the garages for your extra storage packed everywhere) - which some may feel overbearing but I think it makes living here a lot better. Overall, I'm glad to have lived here. Enjoyed it. You get what you put in - take care of the place and be nice to the neighbors, and you'll be taken care of as well. Thanks.

    • 2870 235th Worst run appartment in Torrance

      August 14, 2015
Don't be fooled by the location, because the location is nice for a few reasons. So I'll start with the nice things. On a hot day the air flow is from the sea, so we receive a strong westerly wind which cools things down. There is also Hickory Park near by and the best is the Madronna Marsh nature preserve (10 min away). Close to schools and shopping. I've lived here the longest -way too long. If you think that would command respect and trust -- you are sadly mistaken. I've seen five ...
different management teams take over this building. This last outfit "JRC Management formally "Sea Breeze" is the worst or the worst. I am harassed by these people for one thing of another. To give you an example, The lease forces you to agree not to store things in your garage. Yes folks put stuff in a garage. Stuff you want to keep but don't have room for. I had pieces of furniture carefully stored and wrapped in my garage. Then I get notified of a "garage" inspection where an owner personally sticks her noise into every corner. I moved it all out myself, renting another storage facility at my own cost. Note, next door at 2860 they store stuff floor to ceiling in garages. My stupidity to sign the (revised) lease forced upon me. Sadly, the humiliation didn't stop there. . I was to have an "inspection" of my apartment, for leaks! What actually occurred was the manager came in with "camera" and took photos of every room, and all of my personal possessions. When asked, "they" suspected I had brought stuff UP from downstairs into my place. If that were you how angry and violated might it make you feel? If you value order, peace and quite. The management does nothing to control the noise and destruction done by children here. The fact that the on-site manager, lives on the other side of the building and is NEVER exposed to the levels of noise caused by "screaming" unsupervised kids in a common courtyard facing living rooms and bedrooms) is a possible cause. The only remediation is to leave your home. Formal complaints are ignored. Finally, the building itself (built in late 60s) is riddled with terminates. I've heard tenants complain of termites dropping from the ceiling. We have water leaks in the windows and cracks in the building which actually go through the walls and expose the interior. Water pipes break regularly and there is no water pressure at all. Yet, after all that, I get a $75/ month rent increase. .Hope this saves you some grief.
