Sounds perfect right ?why 3 stars? Well the unit itself is old, you can hear the neighbors conversations in your unit. You have to be very light footed as to not bother your neighbors downstairs! Although the neighbors themselves seem nice. Packages are always being stolen, laundry gets stolen from the laundry room so it's hard to trust your neighbors. Management is okay but doesn't seem to keep the building clean. There is a backyard patio that has so much potential to be a relaxing place for tenants to relax. There are also 3 community balconies around the building that also have potential to be a relaxing place for tenants, management should definitely work on that. Although there are some complaints I love this area and am not planning on moving anytime soon.

depending on the occasion. Friendly people around the neighborhood, dog friendly building, all you need to be wary of is the drunkards walking up the hill in the middle of the night to their cars. Also the sound inside the building travels extremely far so house parties should be kept to weekends/ holidays. Also there is a communal BBQ, but bring ur gas since no one really shares. People inside the building keep to themselves for the most part, although the older teenants are extremely friendly. Good luck in your endevoures, Santa Monica housing truely ain't worth it these days.
