Small but there's no place like home!
August 13, 2015My apartment is tiny, but hey its Manhattan. It has 2 closets which is amazing for NYC and my kitchen is also quite large. The living room/bedroom is small and I had to choose between a desk and a couch - I opted for the former. And my bathroom is hardly large enough to turn around in. It also has 4 windows. 2 in the front one looking into an airshaft and one in the bathroom that overlooks an alley - but again its manhattan and 4 windows is amazing. The Kitchen floor is very old and unattractive ...linoleum, the bedroom/living room floor is old ugly wood which I have painted light grey, but the bathroom floor is very kitschy 50's black and white tile. Unfortunately, my upstairs neighbor has had several radiator leaks so my bedroom/living room ceiling is cracked and peeling even though I keep repainting it. I feel very safe in this apartment - the front is on a very busy nightlife street and the side and actual entrance is on a tiny one block long street that is inhabited by lots of young professional and families in much more impressive apartments. However the most important thing about my apartment is that it is my home!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
