December 19, 2021I live in Hazelwood & my apartment was completely renovated before I got it. New carpet and completely brand new bathroom. Heat and water is included. My kitchen has a dishwasher. It's a very quiet and convenient place to live. I'm only 1/2 a mile from the station . For the price I think it's very nice.Review from Apartments.com
Hazelwood Apartments in Rahway NJ
March 21, 2019Lived here for four years. Cindy the Super was very nice and helpful. Vincent from Maintenance was sloppy , and never cleaned up after himself. Had to personally visit the owner once or twice to get apartment repairs done. Still , the complex was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. Not a bad spot spot to live in since it's a 10 minute walk to the train station.Review from Apartments.com
Nice Place
September 24, 2018The apartment is a nice size and for the most part, it's pretty peaceful. You have the usual traffic outside and since you are close to the hospital ambulances do pass by often. The walls and floors are thin though, so if your neighbor downstairs has their T.V on you might be able to hear them (we can also hear them snoring at night). There's no central air, so you have to have your own window AC. The mailbox key isn't given to you right away, since you have to get it from the post office and the ...post office takes forever. The street is plowed quickly when it snows and so are the sidewalks and parking lot. You only have one parking spot, but there is usually room on the street. Maintenance takes forever, so you have to be on top of them when a problem occurs and when they do "fix it" it's not a great job. Not a great place
July 27, 2018Lived here for a while. Rent was good when I moved in for what it was. Horrible maintenace. One person takes care of all this owners properties. Things are patched and never fixed. And always looks awful after its fixed. Plumbing is so bad I wouldn't know where to start to explain it. I see they updated the units but I am sure it was cosmetic and not fixed in other way and I see no pictures of the bathrooms are posted and that says to me the bathrooms were not updated and they need to be. Toilets ...always backing up and all sinks were always clogging and they blame ALL the tenants for this not the aging plumbing.
