August 25, 2015My apartment is a one bedroom with one bathroom. It has plenty of space for the price; an eat in kitchen, separate living space, and a pretty large bedroom. The apartment itself would be great if it wasn't for two big problems; there's no A/C, but there's plenty of roaches. Since not all of the units have been renovated (mine has, with a 1 year old appliances, i.e. fridge, and stove/oven), roaches are still living within the walls and visiting my apartment frequently. However, the maintenance ...staff is friendly and the Landlord answers my maintenance requests pretty quickly. Regarding the A/C, the way my apartment is shaped doesn't allow for a cross breeze, otherwise it would be bearable. I can't get ready for work in the morning without working up a sweat when its warmer than 75 degrees outside. The apartment uses radiators for heat. Regarding storage, there is a pretty small closet in the bedroom, a small linen closest outside the bathroom, and a large French doors-styled closet in the living space. For me, I need more storage. There isn't enough space in the bathroom for storage, and the kitchen could use another countertop. The only counter top has my microwave and toaster on it so I do all of my prep work on my kitchen table. You have an intercom system for security, however, the building is courtyard style and anyone who lives in any of the apartments in the courtyard (not just units inside the building but the complexes connected, i.e. 4014, 4018, etc) all share the same key to the front doors and all the gate doors that give you access to the back entrances, which I think is a negative. The neighborhood is nice, but not exciting. You aren't close to shops or many restaurants, however, the bus stop is basically across the street and you are only a few blocks away from the Blue Line. No additional parking offered by landlord; street parking only. Parking is very limited, especially after 5PM.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
