Breezy 2 bedroom Pacific Beach
August 18, 2015Thie apartment is in a 4 unit complex. There is a shared courtyard and washer/ dryer on site. Each unit has a parking spot as well as a garage. This particular apartment is located above the garages and separated from the others, so no disturbing anyone below. During warmer weather, there is plenty of breeze flowing through the place. Being on the second floor allows for good circulation and there are 11 windows to increase the flow. There are also tall ceiling and a ceiling fan in the living ...room area. During colder weather, it does get rather chilly. There is only insulation in the Northeest room, but none from the garages below. The numerous windows are a drawback during these seasons, as well. One saving grace is there is a pocket door separating the kitchen from the rest of the apartment. Closing this helps a great deal due to the fact that the kitchen windows are luvered and let in a lot of air. The bathroom have a shower as well as a bathtub. The plumbing is old through out the unit and there are constant issues with it, be aware. There is a 3 shelf linen closet and 4 drawer built in just outside the bath. Plenty of room for linens or anything else that needs storage. The Northeast bedroom is very spacious and can accommodate a Cal-King bed as well as a full bedroom set. The second bedroom is smaller, however there is room for a Queen bed and a few other furniture pieces. Each closet has wire built-ins. There is also a utility closet with wooden built in shelves. It would be a water heater closet, however this does not have one in it. Instead the hot water comes from the water heater in the shared laundry room below. There is a large picture window in the living area that faces east. It lets in a great deal of light. There is a wall mounted, gas heater unit in this room only. The kitchen is very spacious with a lot of storage and plenty of counter space. There is even a pull out cutting board. The dish cabinets are open and have no doors though. This room has an extra door as well. Not sure the purpose though. There is a disposal, refrigerator, gas stove and self cleaning oven. Overall a spacious unit and would recommend to others. The only drawback is the current (2015) property management company sucks! (Pardon the language). Getting maintenance workers to fix things takes forever, not their fault, but the Managers.
