Awful Management
July 29, 2015This apartment is located in Midtown East across from Grand Central. It's a great location, and very convenient to the major subway lines. There are a lot of bars and restaurants close by, and you're 5 avenues over from Time Square ( if your into that part of the city). The building is a pre-war building so it's very old. For the most part 2-3 people can live in an apartment in this building, depending on the way you flex. There is no doorman, and the elevator is creepy and old. Although it's a ...good "first" apartment for the most part, the management is literally awful. We've had mice and cockroaches,our toilet has overflowed, and our oven was broke for a month. Management will do nothing and they are very mean, rude, not helpful, and only care about money. Don't live here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nightmare on Lexington
July 29, 2015It was our first apartment in Manhattan so my roommate and I were blinded by the huge space in what seemed to be a prime location for our morning commute. One thing I learned after moving in here? Do your research about the management company before signing anything. After 2 months with no stove I was told by a very confused woman at the desk of the management company, "don't you have restaurants near you?" As you can imagine it took all of my willpower not to scream. Next we come home to ...mice, cockroaches and a bug species neither of us can identify to this day. Again, the management company informed us that this must be a fault of ours for not keeping a clean apartment. To put this in perspective, our apartment smelled of bleach 70% of the time because of the amount my roommate cleaned, we are not messy people. The company has made it very clear to us that they could care less about our safety and health with they way we have been treated and there is no way we would renew the lease (which is why we have found apartments.com!)
