I bought this house two years ago with the intention that this would be my forever home. It's loved and adorned with nice furnishings. It has two main bedrooms and a third smaller bedroom that I use as a workout room but could easily work for a child's room or an office. There are three walk in closets. The living room has high end furniture and a gas fireplace. The dinning room table is a by a handmade danish furniture designer. The basement is unfurnished and is a great area for storage, with built in shelving units. In one corner is the laundry area with a brand-new (2024), high end dryer with a steaming function. I use the other area for gardening. The previous owner was a master gardener. The beautiful yard is maintained by a professional gardening service for no extra pay. You are in charge of mowing a very small area of lawn in the backyard and shoveling snow from the walkway and sidewalk. Twice a year, a handyman will come and work on the house and do anything you need done. Of course, if you need him, he can come at any time. Pets must be approved and there's a monthly fee. The house is centrally-located and close to downtown Madison in the heart of Atwood. Next door is a lively neighborhood park where children love to play. The elementary school is within a short walking distance. Children pass in front of the house on their way to school everyday. You can see the lake from the sidewalk and there is a kayak/canoe launching area a block away. The next door neighbors are friendly and quiet. This neighborhood has funky bars, eclectic shops, and some of the best restaurants in Madison. Wether you're a family with children and/or a college professor here on sabbatical, you'll love this house and neighborhood. Duration of Rent: 6 months, 12 months, or month to month Rent includes AC, electricity, trash, and sewer/water. Gas is not included. Nonsmoking. Fee of $10,000 for any smoking offense or any drugs. A $300 fee for the first noise complaint and $1000 fee for subsequent complaints.
