Low quality housing
March 11, 2023The construction is so poor-- thin walls and thin ceilings-- that it feels like your neighbors are your roommates. If your neighbor is watching a movie, you are listening to a movie. If your upstairs neighbor is physically large, you will hear their movements as though they were in your apartment. If your downstairs neighbor plays music with bass, you will feel it in the floorboards. The radiators clank as though someone is banging them with a hammer. The building is not maintained, because ...it's rent stabilized. I don't know how anyone tolerates living here; it was the most uncomfortable housing situation I tolerated in seven NYC apartments. Additionally, there is a screaming woman on the corner who screams 1-4 times a day, a few days a week; she woke me up a few times.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
