an acceptable transition space
August 16, 20152 bed/full bath down, living/dining area/kitchen/half bath up. upon entering the apartment there is a small entry with a closet. you can go down the hallway to one of the three rooms or you can go up the stairs. stairs are a bit narrow and not up to rise over run standard requirements. I'm guessing that because of the age of the apartments code on the stairwell isn't required. neutral shag carpet throughout except in bathrooms, kitchen and entry. there is a balcony off the dining area; it is old ...and in need of much repair. there is a small deck off the larger bedroom on the first floor. the balcony is above the deck. the first floor has a stacked w/d unit under the stairwell w/an access hole to the crawl space where boxes and small stuff can be stored. there are approx. 1120 square feet. covered parking w/an electrical outlet at car spot. the apartment is old but there have been updates. this summer they re-roofed our 8 units. the rows of eight apartments are staggered, in sets of two, up an incline. there are trees separating the two rows of eight apartments so you look out, both winter and summer, into a wooded area. I feel comfortable leaving my window shades open. we can see the birds flitting through the trees. even though the apartment has so much potential there are issues. the area outside is not cleaned. I've lived here for eight months and the same trash is left around the mailbox area, the curbs, plants aren't trimmed and very little is done to the potentially cute garden area. it is a non smoking, no pet apartment but I still pick up other people's cigarette butts all the time. I pick up trash in the parking lot and sweep out to the mailbox. I've trimmed tree branches from the walkway so they don't whack me in the face. there are river rocks all over the walkways which are very dangerous. I trip and twist when walking around and have to avoid the walkways. the vehicles block the area to the one paved pathway. maintenance gets to you to address problems but the resolution does not restore things to new; maybe they are on a tight budget and can only do so much. I had to do a lot of cleaning when I moved in as the cleaning that was scheduled did not get done. i had to request the carpet be cleaned twice. I would change things about this apartment but it is not mine. having said all of the above, on average it's certainly acceptable. we have a view of the mountains and birds outside our windows. it will do until we find a houseRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
