We once had 2 entire rows of tile above the bathtub fall off all at once into the tub, luckily no one was in the tub at the time. Took them a week to fix it (with mismatched tiles). Yes they allow pets. In fact, there are pets in almost every unit. That may be a plus for you pet owners but for those who aren't, it's not so great if you get the picture. The units are affordable, but you absolutely get what you pay for (well, actually, even that is debatable). Oh and any time there is a storm of any significance, expect to lose power, sometimes for days, and no there are no generators for backup power so hopefully you enjoy candle light.
