Sweet space, Sour landlord
August 3, 2015I moved into this no-fee one bedroom at the end of May and for the most part love it. I'm a half-block from Central Park and a half-block from the B/C trains so that's awesome, and the apartment finishes are really nice and new. Things I love in particular are the crown molding, stainless appliances, marble bathroom with modern fixtures, shiny hardwood floors, and exposed brick in the bedroom and living room. Location is nice and quiet but it's a bit of a hike to any convenience stores or ...decent restaurants. I guess living so close to the park means you're not going to live across the street from a 24/7 CVS and that's a tradeoff I'm more than happy to make. While for the most part I love it, it is pretty tiny for a true one bedroom (about 450 sq feet in my estimation). Another downside is the management company/landlord who made me write about 15 emails over the course of a month to simply get a towel bar installed in the bathroom (why wasn't it there to begin with?!). Nothing got done until I started making threats and showing that I was upset about the situation and aggravated by the property manager's complete lack of responsiveness or urgency. Well, I guess you can't have it all in New York unless you're a multimillionaire. All in all it's a pretty nice place and if my girlfriend's happy then I'm happy.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
