Mice Infested and Not Maintained
May 17, 2024My family has lived in this building for over 25 years. Over the years there’s an increase in rodents that run wild in your apartment. Constantly finding mice droppings on the stove, counter tops and corners of the apartment. The building is no longer maintained like it was before, paint peeling, apartments are not properly maintained. It takes months for an issue to be fixed and you have to constantly leave a message with the management office. Its seems that the owners hopes is that the old ...tenants begin to leave because of lack of maintenance to then renovate and sell the apartments or tripple the rent for the next tenant.Do yourself a favor and stay clear. Unless they find the source of the rodent issues you will constantly have mice running around your apartment. Completely disgusting and unsanitary! The turnover rate of tenants moving in and out of the building recently is high. The new listings may be renovated but please beware!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Shoddy Living Experience
July 31, 2015I live in a building that has many issues. The front door has a lock that gets jammed on a frequent basis, leaving you attempting to open the door for many minutes at a time. Also, my intercom hasn't worked at all in the 3 years I've lived here. The superintendent is a very rude old man who berates guests he doesn't recognize and complains when asked to fix something in your apartment, like my intercom, which he continues to say he'll come fix. We often have issues finding him when we need him. ...One good thing is a 24/7 laundry room inside the building. The neighborhood is safe as there are multiple courthouses and many cops around at all times. Parking is hard to find, but public transportation is very close, as you can take the MTA D and 4 train or the 1, 2, or 6 bus. There's plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around, as well as grocery stores open late. Overall, I would say I highly approve of the neighborhood, but really don't like the building itself.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
