great place to live
June 6, 2022I lived at this apartment for 3 years. Overall it has been a great place to live. In a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to downtown/OTR. Lots of light in the apartment. The landlords are absolutely fantastic, incredibly thoughtful and responsive. Yes, it is an old building, so insulation from both a noise reduction and heat retention standpoint are not going to be the same as what brand new construction offers. That said, I often worked night shifts and was never woken up from noise ...from neighbors or bothered by noise in general. And while the heating/air conditioning is set for the building and not under tenant’s control, I found that the floor of the front room was cold (a pair of slippers was all I needed to be comfortable), but the rest of the apartment was warm. If I had to do it over again, I would live here again without hesitationProperty Manager Responded

it’s okay but not worth the price
May 10, 2021Landlord controls heat/air conditioning and keeps it cold in the winter (just enough so the pipes don’t burst). Any sort of temperature control is difficult due to this. Lease terms are strict and almost unreasonable. Soundproofing is not a thing in this building. You can hear your neighbors’ floorboards creak. The walls make it very difficult to hang anything. The closets are very small and landlord charges for additional storage space. Laundry is 14 quarters for a wash and a dry. No grounded ...(3-prong) outlets except in kitchen and bathroom. Overall it’s a decent space with nice natural light but it’s not worth the high rent and additional fees, especially since you’ll want to buy noise-cancelling headphones, a space heater, a box fan, and outlet adapters/extenders.Property Manager Responded
July 21, 2021It is interesting to read this review while no service requests nor complaints were received during the duration of your stay. Everything is exaggerated and does not depict the reality. I am sorry you feel like that. I wished you had communicated with us your concerns to give a chance to help you.
