Poor Management & Building Amenities
June 13, 2020Had issues with noisy neighbors for 2 years living in this apartment (wood floors!). Building is falling apart and had no gas for stove or dryers for over 9 months!! The management is terrible at responding back to issues and don't care about there tennant's. They barely help with cost of living and pricing is way to high for the amenities. Many people in the building will say the same! Just ask them before looking into this property. Mail even gets stolen in the lobby due to no front desk or ...working camera's. Queens in general has terrible rental properties but this is really bad. If your looking to waste money and added stress, do not rent here! Only people gaining from this are rent stable tenants who have been living here for years.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Poor Upkeep
May 29, 2016I have lived in this building for 2 years and am finally moving out. The building has poor upkeep, including washing machines and driers that are frequently broken. I often have to run my clothes through the drier multiple times for them to dry. Additionally, the elevators are often broken and are extremely slow and dirty. There was a period of time where our water was shut off one day per week for about 3 months because they didn't fix the issue they were having with a water line in the ...building. There was a huge hole in the ceiling and the floor of the lobby that wasn't fixed for over a month, they just put traffic cones around the hole and covered it with a bedsheet. The super is never available and is nasty when asked to do something. Our doorknob has been replaced multiple times and continues to fall off. The front stoop has a serious fly problem. They keep the christmas lights up year round. You do not control the temperature in your unit and they sometimes have the heat blasting on warm days, and even in the winter they would put it way too high. It wasn't uncommon to need to put on our a/c in the winter. Lastly, many of the tenants of the building are a bit...insane. There is one woman who everyone knows and tries to avoid. The management company, A&E Real Estate, is very unresponsive and does not answer calls until you leave at least 5 messages for them.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
