Caution to move out fees
July 23, 2024I would have given them five stars based on living here. However I have to give a poor review because of moving out. I took very good care of the apartment. Particularly the floors. I never even wear shoes in the house and vacuumed at least every other day. So my carpets were in great condition. I lived there three years and had to move because of circumstance. I moved everything out and cleaned everything. I even had a pre-inspection prior to move out. They said everything was great. The ...following week I get my move out statement. They're trying to charge me $600 for my portion of the carpet. Instead of cleaning the carpets they decided to completely replace them. When asked why they chose this. They said the vendor they use said the carpets were not saveable and they rely on their expertise. There was not one stain, tear or hole in the carpet. There was no reason that they needed to replace them. All they needed to do was clean them which I would have gladly paid for. The company is clearly out for the money and they don't care.Property Manager Responded
