  • ROACH AND GNAT INFESTATION

    In was excited about moving here until I actually moved in. They are updating/renovating the inside and the outside of the apartments but there is a BIG problem with roaches and gnats! The roach infestation is within the foundation/walls. No matter what you do you can't get rid of them! I have only lived here a few months and noticed the roaches and gnat problem the first day of move-in. I have spent over $100+ on products and nothing has worked. Not even the pest control has been able to get rid ...
    of them. I don't even invite people to my house because of the embarrassment of the roach problem. I thoroughly clean daily so it's not an issue of cleanliness. I can't even sit fruit out for a day because the gnats instantly attack the fruit. It's not just gnats here and there, it is swarms of gnats. You can't even walk away from a plate of food for 2 seconds because the gnats will literally take over it. I open cabinets and the gnats fly out. The day I moved in, I was putting hygiene products under my bathroom sink and as soon as I opened the cabinet, gnats flew out! The roaches are literally on the ceiling. Not to mention one was in my bed as I slept! I am so disgusted and regret this move. I have NEVER had to deal with roaches or a swarm of gnats anywhere I have ever lived. Instead of doing cosmetic renovations, these apartments need to be dealt with from the root and get rid of the ROACHES!!! If you like roaches and fighting gnats, you'll love living here. If you're a clean person and don't like roaches and gnats, DON'T MOVE HERE!!! Also, the plumbing is terrible as well. The toilets barely flush and you constantly have to plunge them. On another note, the manager Deon is great, he tries his best. I don't think he has a any idea of how bad the roaches are. Once he is done renovating, cosmetically they will be some great looking apartments outside and inside the units. Maintenance is also great. They come and fix things promptly. The roach infestation has made me regret this move and has me wanting to move out right now.

    If I could I wouldn’t even give a star unfortunately, I have lived here for 2 months now and I can’t get a major issue fixed a leak from an A/C in my restroom. I moved into this complex with more expectations from the management to be more responsive and attentive but clearly that is not the case I have continuously put the same work order for a leaking a/c that doesn’t allow me to use one of my restrooms which is also causing damage to ceiling and wall. I feel that is very dangerous since it ...
    creates humidity and could lead to mold and having kids living here should be something of bigger concern to management I would think. My husband also unfortunately electrocuted himself due to a water piper running in the middle of a wall where you’re supposed to connect the foil hose for the dryer. I can’t even fully use it due to that issue of once again creating humidity. I have not received the attention needed as a tenant here since day one so just do yourself a favor an look for a better place. I’m really tired of not being able to utilize things due to this negligence.

  • EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

    I took a tour at Esencia Apartments last week and the customer service was amazing. I talked to both Simon and Rene and both were very helpful and knowledgeable about the property. Rene greeted me as soon as I walked in and answered all my pre-tour questions. Simon gave me a tour of the property and explained everything little detail as we toured. Both were very polite and this property is definitely one of my top 2 choices. I will be back soon.

  • Think twice before moving here

    I've only been here a few months and I'm already regretting it. The management is awful. They do not answer the phone.. They will be sitting right they're and won't answer it. They are very slow to fix anything. My AC has went out twice in two months. They did not come out to fix it even though the 24hr maintenance line was called. My apartment temp was over 85 degrees by the next morning. The maintenance man did not even tell the office..I called them and good thing I did because they knew ...
    nothing of the repair. The plumbing is the worst. Like I said... I've been here a short while and the toliet has backed up 4 times and they have cut the main water line off for several hrs at a time at least 5 times since I've been here due to leaks and back ups. Insects and trash is also.a problem. Please... Think twice

  • not safe overpriced

    In the past year we have had a stabbing, a shooting, some gang fights, two fires, and caused by old electrical wiring. There have been some break ins as well. The photos that show renovated apartments are a joke. When I moved into the "renovated apartment" I was shown origionally they have removed the fancy tiles from the kitchen because they said they needed for another apartment. They aslo removed the doors off the closet and will not replace them so we hung up a curtain. The office ladies are ...
    really nice ,but these apartments are not worth the price. The only thing renovated is fake wood floors everything else is botched from the curtain rod to the wall paint. Please dont pay more than $525 for a one bedroom. and maybe $675 for the two bedroom. I have lived in both and that is what I honestly think they are worth.

  • Not half as nice as it seems

    First off the management is terrible. Rude to renters, nearly impossible to reach and slow to respond to requests if they do at all. The complex is filthy with trash for the raccoons to feast strewn all over the parking lots far too often. Worse, the pest service renters pay monthly for is a scam. They do not do their job at all so there is a massive roach infestation problem. There is no security and vehicles are regularly damaged and broken into. Also living so close to the steady wail of fire ...
    trucks dispatching is something to think about when considering living here. Not highly recommended.
