Nice place to live.
October 14, 2021The property is well maintained. There is a full size washer and dryer in each unit. You have your own private entrance and the ladies in the office are very nice. Outstanding Service Response
September 15, 2021My Wife and I have been living here for over 10 years and I wasn't a fan of service and support in the beginning but things are much improved. This is a older complex and the Maintenance staff is crucial. We just had a small basement flood (unfinished side) and Alan & Josh did a fabulous job. They came quickly and worked hard to fix problem and cleaned up afterwards. They were courteous and friendly and most important competent. Big fan !Property Manager Responded

I love it here!!!!
November 25, 2020This place is amazing!! The place i came from the air and heat went out almost weekly. When I moved in here the air was not working the best it was a old unit, I called and they came and replaced the motor immediately! When I needed to set up internet and the company wasn't being any help the maintenance team all helped me get it set up and I didnt even have to ask. They saw I was having trouble while installing my new motor for my air and went out of their way to help.Property Manager Responded

Third year and still great
June 1, 2019I'm about 90% satisfied with Beachwood. The apartment is clean, as are the grounds. There have been improvements even since I moved hear three years ago. Gone are the tennis courts and in its place a nice little playground for the kids. That's a lot more useful. I'll start with a combination of the good, the bad and the ugly starting with the ugly first. The ugly part is really not the fault of Beachwood, but if you live near the Metro Parkway side of the property there will be some ...noise along Metro Speedway. Some might say also airplane noise from Selfridge, but it's not that bad and to some like me, it's music. The bad part is that the trees adjacent to to the buildings need trimming which will help with the many spiders you will battle while here. The good news is that if you would like they do have an exterminator available to help you with the spiders and they (the staff of Beachwood) are prompt at handling your request for this and for any other maintenance. Also , if you work for a living, the fitness center advertised is only open during office hours and not available on evenings or on Sunday. Also, they could do with a little storage for residents somewhere on the property such as for bicycles in the winter. There are plenty of self storage places nearby, but if you keep some summer items and have a one bedroom apartment, storage of these things will be an issue. Two bedroom townhouses have plenty of storage room in the basement. Now the good. Beachwood has met as I said 90% of my expectations which were a clean apartment in a safe, nice looking area, well maintained and quiet. I've found the staff to be as responsive as possible to all my needs and the newly finished soon to be filled pool is among my favorite ways to cool off in the summer and a great social spot to meet with your neighbors. If you're looking for a great place to live in the small town Detroit forgot that doesn't look like the surrounding towns, Beachwood Townhomes is the place for you. Better have maintenance on speed dial!
May 5, 2019Before I lived in apartments for 3 years. Called maintenance maybe 3 times over that period. I have been here in F building for 7ish months... refrigerator stoped working while I was gone, ruined all my food. Leaky roof in my bathroom 4x, mostly looks like they covered it with dry wall puddy to try to stop the leak. Finally had to call a contractor to “fix” the roof. Toilet has leaked 3x. Replaced shower head, toilet and sink with “water savers”. Now the toilet hardly flushes because there is not ...enough water. Bathroom sink takes between 5-10 min to get warm. Current issues are the toilets not flushing and bathtubs not draining. I was gone all weekend and come home late Sunday to find a tub full of god knows what like it backed up and then finally drained. Tried to wash it out it was crusted on the tub. Then to top it all off it was not draining.. again! So I took a lovely shower in the filth and called maintenance to let them know. They said the plumber “thought” they fixed it before (this has happened at least 3x I can recall, most likely more on weekends I am out of town) and they will be an hour to get here and fix the issue. So it’s looking like they will be in my residence until after 9pm. Lovely! I think they should move a personal maintenance person in each unit, or actually FIX issues. Signing this lease was THE WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE! I beg and plead whoever sees this to turn and run far, far away from this place. Don’t make the same mistakes as I didProperty Manager Responded

Awesome place to live
April 22, 2019I’m not understanding all of the negative comments! I have been here for 3 years and absolutely love my townhouse. The Management is very professional! Laurie and Crystal are the best! WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER LIVED
August 30, 2017My wife ad I lived here for 1.5 year and it was the worst experience of our lives. From 2 floods to the office manager being terrible at her job this place is a dump. When we moved in our apartment was so dirty that we could not even move in it was so gross and they did not care at all. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I am telling you that any place in the area is 10 times better than here. Even when we moved out the office manager told us we could move out on the 1st of the month and turn the keys in no ...problem and they charged us for the day! Legally in Michigan you get your security deposit back between 30-45 days and it has been 60 days with no contact. They are not refunding that $32.00 they charged us though for the day we moved out even though they are legally 15 days over getting our deposit back. They just recently hired another office manager and she is very rude and not helpful on the phone at all. I am telling you right now that this will be your worst experience of your life. Just read the reviews! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP AND OFFICE MANAGER!Property Manager Responded

Great place!
April 17, 2017Beachwood townhomes is a great place to live. I lived there for the past year and I had a positive experience. Main pros: 1. Quiet neighborhood 2. Townhomes style so you get a private entrance and more privacy 3. Washer/Dryer inside of the unit 4. Management were super nice and professional Main cons: 1. Appliances are old, and can get use of upgrades 2. Pool restrooms area isn't cleanProperty Manager Responded

November 1, 2016Not enough space to say how I feel about this place. I have things that needed fixed since I moved in over a year ago. My screens are taped in,bugs and spider and bees everywhere. And my biggest complaint is the parking here is horrible if you work the night shift plan on parking a long way from where your unit is and walking in the winter is dangerous, sidewalks are a sheet of ice or flooded . And they let young people get away with parking in the handicapped spots. You can complain about ...things to no end. They won't do nothing. And good luck getting out of your lease early they make you pay for the months you leave early. If you leave 6 months you will pay the 6 months rent.
