An ode to Chevy Chase
May 6, 2024Extremely poor communication skills of Mgmt, Rarely answer questions in emails. You'll need to pester these people for responses. Two different occurrences of our lease or monthly rent charges being incorrect (pet on lease being omitted, and fee for “No Renter Insurance” when our coverage hadn't lapsed). Both were several email, several day fights to correct. Tends to forget important things, like when you finally turn in the keys for the apartment, In person, in office. Then they call you a week ...later after the lease expired to ask where the keys are? Property Owner hot potato, we've had three separate companies in four years in charge. Good luck on getting responses on Maintenance requests Trapped between 183 and 35 access roads, poor walkability. Sketchy gas stations and sports bars around. Loud freeway noise, Aggressive drivers within complex. Get ready to hear street racing, squealing tires, sirens every single day. Worsening domestic disturbances and a vehicular homicide two years ago- Mgmt doesn't publicly address or try to ease concerns. We find out details instead from KXAN the next morning. Advertised as “Gated” community, gate has been non functional 2+ years, and didn't work well before this. No clear layout or signage to assist delivery drivers with navigation Parking is horribly inadequate, even with currently a dozen vacancies. Getting a spot by your apartment after 7pm? No chance. Overflow parking by Mailboxes is about a dozen spots for entire complex. MGMT is trying to sell reserved spaces for 25 a month, has only worsened the issue. People didn't bite for several months after first advertised, but once the first few suckers went for it, it's ballooned out of control. Built in 1970s, some age showing in units. AC and Heating are power hungry, “Auto” function only constant blasts HOT or COLD instead of maintaining a temp. Flickering lights, appliances sometimes chug, questionable breaker box shows last inspection was 1988. Water has been constant issue. We've had at least 5 outages that we had to submit maintenance requests for in last two years. Water outage in Jan 2024 affected multiple buildings for several days- NO COMMUNICATION from office during or after, water pressure has never fully recovered. “”High Speed Internet Access”” was Grande, had random full day outages. We ended up using cheaper mobile providerProperty Manager Responded

Worst maintenance service
September 16, 2023If you do not want to be lied to and harassed by a property office, stay miles away from this one. These guys are the worst for a maintenance service. If you have a maintenance problem, you will need to wait a couple of weeks to get your problem fixed. I submitted a maintenance request on Thursday morning, but no one showed up till Saturday (office date). I called the office about the request, the office guy told me that there is no such request. I went to the office for the same on Tuesday when ...I was informed their maintenance guy was on vacation. This is an apartment complex with 100+ apts, but the maintenance does not have a backup option. I talked to the assistant property manager on Friday, she assured me the maintenance guy would come on Saturday. June 2, 2023When I initially walked in to lease an apartment Dinah was very helpful and efficient in getting me approved and initiated to move but the apartment that was given to me was not complete it had a lot of work that needed to be done and a month now and I am still waiting and have not been yet completed. I have a washer only because I've been bugging the office on a daily basis and am still waiting on my dryer. There's a hole under the stairway that has not been patched and I'm worried that it's ...because of rats. I've noticed there's more roaches and I'm thinking they're coming out of the hole, so pest control needs to be administered. There's several leaks in the apartment from several different sources that have not yet been figure it out. I have not had a mailbox key since I've moved in and there's a hole behind the door on one of the upstairs bedrooms which shouldn't have been there initially because it's very visible. They are in such a hurry to lease out the units that they hand over incomplete units to the tenants with many pending work orders, and then when you address them. They always have an excuse or an evading answer, like my manager is on a phone call, in a meeting, with the property owners, out for the day, and therefore "I can't tell you when we will complete your works orders I just don't know", smh!.. Over all I am not pleased at all and would have preferred to keep looking instead of moving in!.. I Have had many of my friends and colleagues ask me if they should apply for these apartments and I hesitate to say yes because of my current situation.
